Eve (Hebrew: חַוָּה, ḥawwāh, "mother of all living") was, according to Biblical tradition, the first woman, made by God from a rib of Adam, the first man. In the Bible, Eve is the first human to sin by eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
